About the Economic Development Forum

The Mid-South Minority Business Council Continuum (The MMBC Continuum) is a minority economic development agency located in Memphis, TN, but our impact spreads beyond our physical footprint.  Our primary focus is to foster and facilitate opportunities to grow the revenues of scalable Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) regionally and nationally.  Most recently we were awarded a MBDA Business Center by the U. S. Department of Commerce.  As one of 40 centers across the country, we provide vital national resources to support the growth of minority businesses and act as a portal for national public and private sector opportunities.

Annually, we host an Economic Development Forum (EDF), the largest economic development conference in the mid-south.  The EDF connects Fortune 500 CEOs and executives, minority and women business owners, corporate purchasing managers, renowned speakers, national thought leaders, community leaders and youth to focus on the impact of economic development with an emphasis on minority economic development.  The EDF is scheduled for June 18 – 20.
